Research first. Strategy second. Buzzwords never.
Charity Pugh, Ph.D., is a researcher and strategist working at the intersection of trauma-informed care, organizational change, and program evaluation. Her doctoral research examined trauma-informed care for survivors of human trafficking, published in the APA's Journal of Psychological Trauma: Theory, Research, Practice, and Policy®.
Experience & Expertise
Charity currently leads Performance Excellence for a Fortune 50 company, where she applies the same evidence-based approach to workforce performance that she brings to her outside consulting work. She has spoken to leadership and enterprise-wide audiences on trauma-informed practice, negotiation and self-advocacy, and topics related to women's health and career advancement. She is a Prosci® certified change practitioner and holds a certification in Trauma Resilience from Trauma Institute International.
Like the mission-driven organizations she serves, Charity's independent consulting practice grew from recognition of an unmet need: Trauma-informed care is too often treated as a value statement rather than a measurable operational commitment. Her work is an attempt to close that gap by bringing the rigor of research and the discipline of formal change management to an area of practice that needs both.
